This help file is written presuming the user has already added the required images to the Project in question, either manually or following the automatic procedure explained here.
This feature is accessible from the top level of a Project by double-clicking on the Project in question. This
action will show the view (Shown in Caption 1).
From this view, double-click "Add Channels" (shown below).
Once completed, the list of channels that were selected will appear to the left. The information now available to the user shows the channels selected, the custom image requirements for each channel, total task count (all image task priorities). To the upper right-hand side, the total channel and task count is shown (Shown in Caption 4). There are also two reports available: one to show the image requirements for the channels selected, and one to show the mandatory image requirements for the selected channels, as well as channels that do and do not support this feature (Shown in Caption 4).
In the lower half of the screen, select the images tab (Shown in Caption 5).
The column to the far right in this view shows the tasks that have been satisfied by certain images that were added at the project scope (Shown in Caption 6).
All other outstanding image tasks are shown in the Tasks pane following expected behaviour in the Metaflow Client.
A Right-click on each category will show the available options (Shown in Caption 7).
Right-click on the category containing the image(s) to use and select the Auto Scale feature to start the wizard. This allows selection of which Image type to satisfy (Shown in Caption 9).
Select Next to start the Resizing Ratios wizard. There are two sections to the wizard. The Aspect Ratio Factor indicating how much tolerance is allowed in the difference between the aspect ratio of the source and required image. A setting of 0 indicates the aspect ratio must be exactly the same. The scale works from left to right with the left hand side being 0.
The Upscale Factor indicates how much an image may be up-scaled. A setting of 0 indicates that an image may only be made smaller. The scale runs from left to right with the left hand side being 0 (Shown in Caption 10).
Select next to show the Image Tasks that Auto Scaling will attempt to satisfy using the images in the selected folder. All of the relative information for each image is also shown (Shown in Caption 11).
Select Finish will begin the auto-scaling process. The Auto Scale results will be displayed showing all of the image tasks that were satisfied. The name of each image which was scaled will have scaled appended to its file name. Images that were used but not scaled will not have their file name updated (Shown in Caption 12).
All of the scaled images will now be copied into the appropriate folder under the Scaled directory in Metaflow. The user may right-click any of the scaled images and export them to the project level as required. The column to the far right will show the task that was satisfied by each scaled image (Shown in Caption 13).
