In the scenario where the user needs to "Migrate" the submission history from one channel to another the following process would be used.
The channel you are migrating from "MUST" have had a confirmed submission made for this process to be used
In Plan view open the channel that you wish to Migrate from and ensure that all is as it should be, and you have a valid confirmed submission made, also make a note of the date of the confirmed submission folder as this is going to be needed later.
Switch to Backfill, open the channel you wish to Migrate "FROM" and select the "Filter" tab., this will show all devices that have been submitted to the channel(Shown in Caption 1:)
This will open Explorer at the top level of the channel folders, navigate into the submissions folder then into the folder with the date of the submission that you wish to migrate and select the "Submitted.xml" file. Copy its path into your buffer. For migrating backfilled submissions you will be required to Navigate into the Backfill folder and copy the location of the submitted xml from there. The Backfill folder will only be available to you if you have confirmed a previously submitted backfill.
Open the channel you wish to Migrate "TO", select the filter tab and select the Backfill Filter from the top right (Shown in Caption 3:)
Paste the file path into the window that opens and select open, this will the refresh your view and will propagate the displayed list with all the devices that had been submitted to the previous channel
