You will have received an email from the Metaflow support team supplying you with the URL, username and login for the Data Management Portal.
Clicking on the Link provided will open the login page, as shown in Caption 1.
Enter the information provided in the required fields, and log in.
After successfully logging in to the Data Management Portal, you will arrive at the page shown in Caption 2.
There are four small Icons to the upper left hand side of the page.
The
icon is Home,
using this will return you to the Welcome page.
The
icon will log the user out when selected, returning the user to the screen shown in Caption 1.
The icon will display the user's available Perspectives page (Note: The user will only see those perspectives to which he has access).
The icon will display the user's Preference page. For a typical user, this page contains information
relating Username and Password, the Enable Tree View Feature, the switch for the Coolbar between Icons and Text fields and finally the groups
which are assigned to the user.
In the lower half of the Web Portal, there is a link entitled "Manage My Channel". When selecting this link, the user is shown the page in Caption 3. This page contains a drop down field which contains a list of all the channels that have been assigned for Data Management purposes.
Selecting one of the available channels will take the user to the page shown in Caption 4. From this page, the user can manipulate data for the channel depending on the supported features of the channel. The features are listed below:
When the Manage Channel Devices link is selected, the user will be taken to the page shown in Caption 5.
The left-hand section is used for manipulating the channel supported devices. The following is a detailed explanation of the process required to add a device group and then add and manipulate the devices within the created Group.
Right-click on the uppermost device in the top device group, in this case LG. This will bring up a selection box as shown in Caption 6. As we are creating a new Device group, select New Group as shown in Blue.
At this point, the user is prompted by the browser to allow permission to an Active X control. Select Yes (a refresh may be required). Now the device model name can be entered, but never the manufacturer. This is following the same procedure used by Metaflow in the device preference page view. The device manufacturer groups are, in effect, virtual and are only created to enable the user to locate a device quicker.
In this example, the BellWave Anasta device is used.
When adding a Device to a channel, it is absolutely critical that the correct naming strategy is used. The slightest error can cause problems further down the process chain leading to failed Submissions. Therefore, it is always advisable to inspect the naming of devices in several groups in a channel before beginning.
In Caption 8, the area highlighted in Blue is the name of the device being created. The device is created in a device group called "Other".
While highlighting the newly added device, select the "Add Devices" tab. This will bring up a box containing all the available Device manufacturers in the Metaflow Core Repository. Scroll down to the manufacturer required and click, expanding the manufacturer and displaying a list of all assignable devices.
Select the device you wish to add. The device information area in the lower pane is now populated with the Device name, Manufacturer name and the unique Device ID which Metaflow uses for that device.
Select Save and Continue if you wish to add more devices.
Select Save and Quit when you are finished.
You will now see a new Device Group called BellWave, and inside that Device Group is the Anasta device that has just been added.(As shown below)
Removing devices works in two different ways. Both are quite straightforward, but care needs to be taken at all stages.
The first method explained is how to remove a device from a channel using mutliple devices assigned to one group name. This type of channel is known as Saturated..
In Caption 13, highlight the device you wish to remove and then select the Delete Tab (highlighted in red).
You may now choose to Save and continue or Save and exit.
Selecting the Help Pages link on the right hand side of the page will open the Data Management Help pages in a new Browser window.
Selecting the Export Device List link on the right hand side will give you the option to Open or Save the generated document.
Selecting the Manage Device Revenues link on the right hand side will open the page,a s shown in Caption 17.
On this page, the Revenue Data is managed for either a single device or Multiple Devices.
To change the Revenue of a Single Device, highlight the device in the left hand list and select continue.
From the next page, manipulate the revenue data for the device selected. This page is split into two areas:
The Options panel on the right hand side allows you 3 options:
When finished, selecting Continue from either of the above pages, this will present the page shown in Caption 22. From here, either confirm the changes using the Confirm Revenues, or continue making modifications using Make Modifications. Or, cancel all changes and drop back to the management page.
All values entered into revenue or league data areas are checked to ensure that a valid numerical value has been entered. If presented with the error message shown in Caption 23, please inspect the RED highlighted values you have entered and correct as required.
Selecting this box when manipulating a single or selecting multiple devices by allows direct replacement of exisiting data with newly added data.
Note: You can only confirm revenues with this box ticked if the total is between 95% - 105%. This applies to a single device or many, so use with caution. Selecting a single device with this box ticked and saving will wipe all channel data if the device has a value of over 95%.
This feature works in the same way as managing revenues, except entering data for a league position rather than a % value.
Some channels allow the Images to be added, removed or edited directly from the Portal. If the feature is availabe, the user will be presented with the link on the initial page after making the channel selection.
The first page the user is presented with is split into two sections:
Selecting the Add Image Requirement from the right presents the page in Caption 25.

Would produce the following task in teh Metaflow client
The Final image shows the output ZIP file. This highlights the image added and show the final path it will have in the ZIP archive.
The left hand side of the image Management area has 5 functions, as shown in Caption 29:
This is the simplest method of adding a new image. If 5 images of different resolutions are required, this would be the best method to use, simply copying the last image and changing the path to be unique and updating the description for the task.
This allows for changing an already existing image.
This allows for deletion of images that are no longer required
The last two functions are Save and continue and Save and quit. Save and continue will save changes and allow for further editing. Save and exit will take you back to the Data Management Overview for the selected channel.
