File Discovery Agent

After running through the Initial stages of discovery, the user is presented with the screen shown in Caption 1.

1. Choosing a project's assets' source directory

The user can now select the Source Directory for the assets he wishes to discover. This can be on the users PC, on a Memory stick, a CD, etc. Select Next

2. File Name Policies
   
   
   Caption 3: Select the file naming Policies to be used.
   

   Leave the default settings and select Next; (The File Naming Policies explained in detail here)

3. MIDlet, Android and Blackberry Processors (The Processors are explained in detail here)

   Once the processors are customised as required, select Next to run the Discovery Process. Once discovery has finished, the user will be presented the screen shown in Caption 5

   Discovery results are displayed in the sections Successfully Discovered bundles and Failed Items. Highlighting any failed item will display the reason for failure in the lower pane (as shown Caption 5)

   1. Device Conflicts
      
      
      Caption 6: Device Conflicts

      The Device conflicts tab shows the user a list of devices and each bundle to which the device is assigned. Any conflicts can be resolved in the client during the packaging stage using the resolve device conflicts wizard which is documented Here.

      The Tokens Hit tab, as shown in Caption 7, is populated by detecting the values/tokens separated by "_" in the bundle names. These correspond to the Tokens that were set up in the Discovery Settings during the initial configuration of the Metaflow Client.

      The Tokens Missed tab, as shown in Caption 8:, these are the Tokens that were not "Matched" with Tokens from your initial "Discovery Settings"

   4. To-do

      The To-Do tab shows the user a list of all Bundles that were discovered and any To-Do's that were set against the bundle, the Priority of the To-Do is also listed as is the current Status of the To-Do.(As shown in Caption 9:)

6. All of the above Tabs may be exported to XLS or HTML. They can also be emailed or exported to a View. This will then show in the lower pane of the Metaflow Client. (as shown in Caption 10)
