This page is available by selecting Preferences > Discovery Preferences
Discovery is the process of adding into a Metaflow project all of the New assets/SKUs to be packaged.
This is achieved via the MIDlet Packager Project Wizard. This is selected by choosing the first icon on the top left-hand side.
The main difference between the data for the discovery page and a normal channel is the data for discovery is applied during discovery to all assets, regardless of where the asset eventually ends up. Whereas the preferences for a channel are only applied when the user packages an already discovered asset to that particular channel.
During the discovery process, Metaflow will attempt to guess the capabilities of new assets using extensible logic. This logic applies the tokens in the Discovery Preferences section of Metaflow regarding the best match for both the supported devices and languages of assets. The results from this logic will fill in the asset-related data in the new Packager Project screens.
In the left pane you should see a number of pages. Clicking on each page brings up the view/edit dialog for that dataset.
