Editing Overview

Below is a brief explanation of the features available from this view.

Plan View Tab

The plan view is the component that allows flexible navigation and potential manipulation of bundles across the ENTIRE scope of a project. Any actions performed directly on bundles from the plan view are global in nature and should be considered carefully to ensure the consequences are fully understood.

The plan view tab shows the following main areas:

  • Project nodes : Open the default Project editor by double left clicking on the top of the project name.

  • Plan/Channel nodes: This will open up the Channel Editor in question for this plan.

  • Project properties: Open the default Project Properties Editor by double left clicking on the top of the table.

  • The original assets: The original Jad/Jar/Cod/Sis/Apk files.

  • Bundles: To access the bundle editor double click one of the bundles

  • Reports: Upon Confirming a Package or Submission a report is generated.

Right clicking on each different node type in the plan view will present options depending on the available actions allowed for that node type. For instance there are actions you can perform on a project that you cannot perform on a bundle and vice versa.

Available options by Right click are:

  • Multi Edit: as explained here
  • Rediscover: as explained here
  • Refresh / project refresh: In a multi-user type environment often found with large scale deployments one of the most useful actions in the plan view is the refresh action. This action is best performed by right clicking the main project node at the root of the tree and clicking refresh. This will in turn refresh your workspace to allow a complete update of the structure (for example, this is useful if your project may have been altered by another user).
  • Rename / Rename plan: This feature is purely for the purposes of keeping things organised, please be aware this feature does nothing more than change the name in Plan View, it does not rename any underlying folders etc.
  • Touch: Resets the Bundle state to unpackaged.
  • Export: Project Export uses the same Wizard as the Bundle Export which is explained here
  • Bundle Reports: as explained here
  • Filtered Actions: as explained here
  • New Version: as explained here
