Project Properties Editor

The Project Properties Editor allows the user to edit the Properties for a Project, Remembering that any Information added from here will persist through to any Projects added to or any plans already in the users Project, this can save the user a lot of time at later stages, through having less tasks that need satisfying. It does need to be used wisely though.

General Info Tab

Adding the Vendor name at this point will save the need for it to be added later when adding new Plans to the Project, this feature will also update any existing Plans.(Shown in Caption 1:)

Caption 4: Standard Descriptions page.

(Note:) The Above list is just an example of the fields available

In a normal scenario the user would have one project per game that they intend to submit, with a plan for each channel inside the Project. At this point a lot of time and effort can be saved by filling in the varying descriptions that are required.

Selecting the Export Feature will allow the user to Create an XLS Spreadsheet that is pre-populated with all the required fields and languages that have already been set up. This can then be filled in and re imported back into the project properties editor using the Import Feature. (Shown in Caption 5:) After a short time the Project will update and all fields will be filled in. (Note: this will NOT overwrite any Fields that have already been filled in any plan already created within the Project.)

As with the Global MIDlet, certain channels have their own Custom Description Fields, these are not filled in if they are not present in the Project Properties Editor.

Images Tab

The Images Tab allows the user to bring in pre QA'd images from their art department for the game they are submitting. These images can be either dropped into the Unknown folder to be reused later on(Shown in Caption 6:) or if you know which categories the images belong in they may be dropped into the appropriate folder. During Task calculation Metaflow reads these folders and will automatically complete any task where the correct image is found.
