From the overview tab, they can open the Channel Properties and select the images tab. They will now be presented with several folders. The user is now able to drag and drop any images (animated or static) which they may already have into the required folder, from the repository they have mounted (if no folders are mounted, please refer to FS Mounts ). Any Images that do not fit into a required category should be dropped into the unknown folder. Please note Videos should be dropped into the required folder on the "Videos" tab.
The user may also add images to a project by using the "Add Images" tab (as shown below).
Image tasks sometimes require the user to create or manipulate images to satisfy the task. As before, all tasks can be "Mandatory" (red), "Recommended" (orange), "Optional" or "Info". In this example, the recommended tasks will be ignored.
If the "Image Localisation" feature has been enabled for the channel for which the submission is being prepared, the user will have a "Locale" against the image task in the "Lang" column in your tasks view. This task indicates the required language for the image or task (shown in image above, explained in more detail in the Image Localisation Section lower down the page).
They can now double-left-click on a task and this will automatically open the built-in "Metaflow Image Factory" (if installed), as shown below. By default, Metaflow will auto-tick the category in which the image is needed. The user may wish to select additional image properties or alter the source image for the manipulation.
The user can either just tick the box for the category asked for in the task or all the boxes if unsure. Select "Next".
At the next screen (shown below), the user can select the image he wishes to use.
Each image is listed with information as follows:
Image (shows the image)If the user selected to "Clip" the image, the user has the option to use arrows to move the clip box to highlight the area he wishes to clip as shown below.
If they chose to "Scale" the image, they will be directed to the screen image shown below.
When "Scale" or "Clip" is used the user can also change the background colour.
After selecting "Next", the user comes the last screen (shown below). From this screen, the user may set the "Image Localisation" using the highlighted drop-down or he may set this after the image is created (as explained lower down the page).
If the user is happy with the information shown, he can now select Finish and the image will be saved into the correct category folder for the particular task.
Now use "CTRL+S" to save all the changes and the task will disappear. Please note, if certain restrictions are on the initial image task, such as the image being under a maximum size, the task may not be satisfied and may need to be re-run using a smaller source image to provide the output image that comes within the task's boundaries.
There will be occasions when the user does not have an image to satisfy a task. When this case arises, Metaflow allows the user to create an image. In order to create an image, the user highlights an existing image in one of the category folders and then uses the "Create Image" tab. The user will then be brought to the screen shown below.
From this screen, the user is required to select the "Image Type" and "Size". The user can also select whether the image is animated. From this point onwards, the process is exactly the same as explained above in the "Satisfying Image Tasks" section.
After an Image has been created for a specific Locale, the user has to set the Locale to the image. This is done by right-clicking on the image and selecting "Localise" from the pop up menu and the appropriate language from the next menu (Note: the user can left- click and "shift" or "ctrl" to select multiple images before setting the Locale).
Please note, Metaflow will automatically prioritise Images. The higher the number, the higher the image will be in the picking list.
